The Ayo Baca! program aims to address the structural weaknesses in literary translation between French and Indonesian and to raise young audiences’ awareness of reading by enhancing the visibility, diversity and accessibility of French contemporary literature and its translation in Indonesia, and vice versa.

On the occasion of the State Visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Indonesia (27 – 30 May 2025), Laksmi and the French Minister of Culture Mme Rachida Dati jointly unveiled the Ayo Baca! logo together at Kompas Gramedia’s Bentara Budaya cultural centre.
